![]() ![]() Jedi also can use a Mind Trick on non-droid enemies. This is a good way to avoid getting overwhelmed by droids in areas where they constantly spawn. Force pushing a battle droid will cause it to fly into other droids, defeating them quickly. This includes battle droids, astromech droids, protocol droids, and even IG-88 and 4-LOM! Simply Force the droid and it will be decommissioned for a short time. This ability can be used by most anyone on all droids. The most generic Force ability is the Force Push. Aside from being able to manipulate objects in the environment, you can also use the Force on various enemies to assist in your combat. ![]() In addition to lightsabers, Jedi and Sith have a variety of different Force powers in the game. Simply holding the attack button will deflect the bolts, but not back at the attacker. This is a good way to take out enemies like Clones and Geonosians, who like to back away from you as you approach them. This will send the bolt back at the attacker. To do this, press the attack button right as the bolt is about to hit you. However, there will be instances where you will have to deflect bolts back at the person who shot them. Bolts will be automatically deflected as you swing your lightsaber. You can also deflect blaster bolts that are shot at you. You can deflect lightsaber attacks simply by holding down the attack button. Against regular enemies, the second strike will do two hits of damage, and the third strike will do four hits of damage! Unfortunately, these attacks will still only do one hit of damage to bosses. This is the "proper" way to duel in this game. This powerful third strike is unblockable, allowing you to damage your opponent. Press the attack button again after completing the second strike and your lightsaber will sparkle again. Press the attack button after completing your first strike and you'll notice your lightsaber will sparkle and make a sound. You can do this by timing your button presses well. ![]() You can also perform special combos with your lightsaber. Make sure not to do this near a ledge (like in Cloud City), as it is possible to leap straight over your opponent and off the ledge! You can also do this after deflecting a strike. After performing an attack, press the jump button and you will leap over and behind your opponent. This can be done while battling another saber wielder. There is also a fancy move you can perform called a Force Flip. You can also use this to make short work of boss fights, but it does take longer to execute than a downstab. This move is also unblockable and does one point of damage. To perform a Jedi Slam, simply double jump, then press the attack button. The next special move you can perform is called a Jedi Slam. This is a good way to quickly complete boss fights if you don't want to bother with properly dueling them. This will still do one point of damage, but it is unblockable. You will leap forward and perform an overhead slash. To perform a downstab, simply jump in the air and then press the attack button. The first special move you can perform is what I call a downstab. Some enemies (like Battle Droid Commanders, Droidekas, or Imperial Officers) will take multiple lightsaber hits to defeat. Each lightsaber hit deals one point of damage. Each character has two different combos and will rotate between them. However, there are some "fancy" moves that can help you out at various stages of the game.Īs mentioned earlier, just spamming the attack button will perform a three hit combo. Spamming the attack button is honestly a pretty effective way to get through the game, as the combat isn't too challenging. You'll be spending most of your time in the Prequel Trilogy controlling various Jedi, so it is important to know the basics of lightsaber combat.
